ORCHESTRAS

CONCERT ORCHESTRA

Concert Orchestra is our entry level orchestra that offered at LaVilla School of the Arts. Concert students are students who have played a string instrument for at least a year or no experience with string instruments. Students in Concert Orchestra are introduced to a beginning level music, mainly focusing on technique. Concert Orchestra is comprised of many different grade levels here at LaVilla.

SINFONIA ORCHESTRA

The Sinfonia Orchestra is the middle level orchestra offered at LaVilla School of the Arts. Students in the Sinfonia Orchestra are exposed to a variety of literature, ranging from classical music, to pops music. Sinfonia Orchestra is designed to train young musicians in the many aspects of string playing, with the goal of helping students successfully audition into one of the top orchestras.

REPERTORY ORCHESTRA

The Repertory Orchestra is an upper middle level orchestra offered at LaVilla School of the Arts. It is an auditioned ensemble, with over 30 students. The Repertory Orchestra offers students the opportunity to perform a variety of literature, ranging from classical literature to pops music.

CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

Chamber Orchestra is the highest-level orchestra offered at LaVilla School of the Arts. It is an auditioned ensemble, with over 20 students. Chamber Orchestra is designed to acquaint the more serious-minded string students with the many aspects of orchestral literature and performance.
